What is YouTube? YouTube, as kind of social media, is a web-service that allows anybody to post their video files and share them with other people.
YouTube was founded in 2005 by the authors of PayPal, an internet payment service.
At this time YouTube has millions of daily visits all over the world. Anyone can upload, download or comment videos. YouTube now is not only a way to publish a video for your friends and collegues, but a very exciting to way let the world know about you. In fact, YouTube now is a site that can change views and outlook completely.
YouTube has everything. Regardless of what kind of information you need, you can find it at YouTube. There are jokes, parodies, comedies, music, marketing, video-blogs, news and so on.

1. YouTube has 490 million unique users who visit every month (as of February 2011)
2. YouTube generates 92 billion page views per month (These YouTube stats don’t include videos viewed on phones and embedded in websites)
3. Users on YouTube spend a total of 2.9 billion hours per month (326,294 years)
